A band Steve loves plays Camden this weekend..

Hello all,

We all love Seasick Steve and his legendary sound and performances. I thought that you also might be interested in one of the bands he speaks highly of. The Wiyos play at Camden's Dingwalls this Sunday (Feb 12). They played alongside Steve at the amazing series of 'Folk America at the Barbican' shows back in Feb of 2010. Their sound is a modern spin on American roots music, blending traditional country blues/ragtime with melodic pop. After their performances together, Steve was quoted saying ‘You’re in for a surprise!' most probably referring to their foot-stomping, contagiously fun and energetic show.

Following a coast to coast US tour supporting Bob Dylan, The Wiyos are in Town supported by Meschiya lake & The little Big Horns. They play Dingwalls this Sunday, i'll be there for sure, hope to see some of you too!
